The 24V Brushless-DC Motor Drive and Controller ASIC was developed for actuator and solenoid control in heavily industrial and process control applications to ambient temperatures of 200 degrees Celsius. This highly integrated SoC integrates a 50V H-bridge driver with programmable slew control, current sense, temperature sensor, 8bit ADC, precision references and LDO’s, internal precision RC clock and BIST circuitry. Also integrated are 16uC, RAM and EEPROM together with LIN, SPI and UART communications. The ASIC is fully functional over a wide temperature range from -40C to +200C. An FPGA system enabled digital design and boot sequence firmware validation in Silansys and also customer application firmware development in advance of first prototype availability.
